It’s in the news that former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) opener Shane Watson is all set to join Delhi Capitals after Ricky Ponting had a coup with the franchise. Watson is ready to join Rishabh Pant and Co. as the Assistant Coach substituting Mohammed Kaif.

Watson RETIRED from the league in 2020 playing for CSK the last time. He has been considered a CSK loyalist from the very beginning.

As per reports by Cricbuzz, Delhi Capitals Head Coach Ricky Ponting requested Shane Watson to join as an assistant coach. The report confirmed that Watson agreed to replace Mohammed Kaif and is set to join the DC Camp. Watson has been a part of two times IPL winning teams. He won with Rajasthan Royals in 2008 and Chennai Super Kings with IPL 2018.

  • Pravin Amre – Assistant Coach
  • Ajit Agarkar – Assistant Coach
  • James Hopes – Fast Bowling Coach
  • Saba Karim – TEAM Scout & Advisor

Watson will join DC as an assistant coach. Ajit Agarkar’s official designation will remain the Assistant Coach but his primary work will be Dc’s fast bowling unit. Delhi’s IPL team has already got James Hopes as the team’s bowling coach.
