Dream11 could not hold on to the title sponsorship for the Indian Premier League’s 14th edition. The top fantasy company offered 250 Cr to VIVO, which VIVO denied to accept. But the positive aspect is according to BCCI’s understanding, Dream11 will continue to stay as the Official Fantasy Partner in IPL 2021.
Dream11 tried to hold on to the title sponsorship rights for IPL 2021 and even made a proffer to VIVO. But unfortunately, the deal could not eventuate as the offer of Rs 250 Cr per annum was lower than the expectations of position VIVO. Finally, Dream11 has decided to continue its earlier sponsorship position as Official Fantasy Partner of the mega T20 tournament.
As per the earlier reports, VIVO will resume staying as a title sponsor, and Dream11 will go back to its previous original position of IPL’s Official Fantasy Partner.
BCCI will very soon announce its 5th Official IPL partner, GROWW, an online trading and wealth management company. GROWW is very near to sign a 3 year deal with IPL for Rs 45 Cr per annum, as per the reports available.
In addition to Dream11, BCCI also has finalized deals with Unacademy and CRED as their official partners. Also, Tata Motors who has concluded his 3 years of contract with IPL, is likely to extend the contract.
Meanwhile, as per the sources in BCCI, the league is also in talks with two other brands at this point. One of the top BCCI officials also said that if everything goes well, BCCI is anticipated to have the 6th Official Partner before IPL 2021.
