Match 55 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 will feature a heated clash as Delhi Capitals will take on the Royal Challengers Bangalore.
The match will be the antepenultimate match of the league stage and it still isn’t confirmed that which teams will qualify for the playoffs. This match, therefore, is extremely important for that and especially for that notorious fourth position.
The winner of the match will surely qualify for the playoffs. However, the losing side could be in trouble if their net run rate goes below KKR. Also, if SRH defeats MI, they’ll for sure qualify because of their positive net run rate. Therefore, the loser of this match might even get eliminated if their net run rate goes below KKR’s.
DC is coming off a disappointing loss against the Mumbai Indians. RCB is also coming off a disappointing loss against the Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Royal Challengers Bangalore
RCB has one of the most stable combinations of all teams this season as well. However, they’ll have to improve their strike rate especially in the earlier overs and make use of the powerplay.
Virat Kohli’s poor form will also be a concern for RCB. Also, their pace bowling has failed to achieve some consistency.
Delhi Capitals
Capitals have had some difficulty in their batting since their last few matches they were at least 10-15 runs short. Rishabh Pant being injured has added some distortion in their team combination. The restriction of playing four foreign players had Shimron Hetmyer out of the playing 11 as well. However, they have equally capable Ajinkya Rahane and Alex Carey replacing them.
However, with the return of Rishabh Pant and Shimron Hetmyer, they have been struggling as well. Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan will have to perform at their best if they want to see DC qualify and then win.
Their bowling, however, can compensate for some fewer runs. Everyone in their bowling attack has been phenomenal.

PREDICTION
Both RCB and DC are low on confidence. However, RCB still has the basic skeleton of their team intact, they just have to make some minor adjustments. Royal Challengers Bangalore will therefore defeat the Delhi Capitals.
