The Super Saturday will feature another match of high stakes as Kings XI Punjab will take on the Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Both the teams are more or less at the same spot with only four wins in 10 matches. Both teams have to win all their remaining matches to solidify their spot in the playoffs. That being said, the losing team will be reduced to winning their next matches and being dependent on the net run rate.
Interestingly, both the teams are having momentum on their side. KXIP is coming off back-to-back three wins over top three teams of the season namely MI, DC, and RCB. SRH, on the other hand, is coming off a phenomenal victory against the Rajasthan Royals by 8 wickets. Both the teams will target to get a win and have their fate in their own hands.
Kings XI Punjab
KXIP would like to continue what they’re doing. They’re coming off three back-to-back wins over the top three teams of the season namely MI, DC, and RCB. In their last win against DC, Nicholas Pooran showed that the team can succeed even if KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal get out early. Chris Gayle showed some form. Even Glenn Maxwell played decently but he’ll have to contribute more.
Sunrisers Hyderabad
SRH is coming off a dominating win over the Rajasthan Royals. Their bowling has always been tight as they restricted RR to a score of 154. However, while chasing, Archer was able to get the big wickets of Bairstow and Warner early. But Manish Pandey showed his class as he scored 83 off just 47 balls which included 8 massive sixes. Vijay Shankar scored important 52 runs as well as they took the side through. Williamson’s injury may be a blessing in disguise as it paved the way for Jason Holder who took 3 important wickets.
Fantasy XI team
KL RAHUL (11) (C) – Rahul has been extremely consistent in this IPL. He has been a run machine and will be our captain.
RASHID KHAN (9.5) (VC) – The Dubai pitch will offer some assistance to Rashid Khan. He’ll be our vice-captain.
DAVID WARNER (10.5) – David Warner has been in phenomenal form and has been consistent as well.
NICHOLAS POORAN (9) – Pooran is coming off single-handedly winning the match for KXIP against DC.
MANISH PANDEY (9) – Pandey looked great in his last match where he scored 83 runs which included 8 sixes.
MAYANK AGARWAL (9.5) – Agarwal is probably in the best purple patch of his life.
VIJAY SHANKAR (8) – He scored important 52 runs in his last match and can also give 2-3 solid overs.
JASON HOLDER (8.5) – Holder picked up 3 wickets in his last match and can bat a bit as well.
MOHAMMED SHAMI (9) – Shami has been in great form and has always been among the wickets.
MURUGAN ASHWIN (8) – M. Ashwin has looked really good in the chances he has got so far.
ARSHDEEP SINGH (8) – Just like other Indian fast bowlers like T. Natarajan and Kartik Tyagi, Arshdeep Singh has been a breath of fresh air this IPL.
PREDICTION
KXIP is having a great run since their last three matches. Some of their out of form players like Maxwell and Chris Jordan are regaining their form as well. SRH, on the other hand, hasn’t shown consistency. Kings XI Punjab will therefore defeat the Sunrisers Hyderabad.
