We have an outstanding match to kick your Monday blues off as Delhi Capitals take on Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Nobody would have thought these two teams to be the strongest coming into IPL 2020. However, both of these teams have proven everybody wrong and are eyeing their maiden IPL title this year.

RCB is coming off a dominating win over Rajasthan Royals. Delhi Capitals, on the other hand, are coming off a good win over Kolkata Knight Riders. Both teams have won three of their four matches.

Royal Challengers Bangalore

Royal Challengers Bangalore would be extremely happy about how they started the season and especially their last match. They are coming off a clinical performance over Rajasthan Royals. Youngster Devdutt Padikkal has been the find of the season so far for the RCB. He has scored fifties in three of the four matches. He takes off some pressure from Aaron Finch as well. However, RCB would be even happier as skipper Virat Kohli is back in form! He scored a match-winning 72 off just 53 balls to stamp his authority.

Their bowling looked great as well. Navdeep Saini once again is picking up the responsibility of bowling in death overs. Yuzvendra Chahal looked phenomenal as he picked up three wickets. Washington Sundar was economical as well.

Delhi Capitals

Capitals are coming off an impressive win over Kolkata Knight Riders. They put up a massive score of 228 runs! However, on a pitch like Sharjah, that can be chased as well. Openers Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan played impressive knocks. Shaw scored 66 off just 41 balls. However, skipper Shreyas Iyer did what everybody expected from him, convert his start into a big score and he did the same. Iyer scored 88 runs off just 38 balls with a strike rate of 223! Rishabh Pant played a good cameo of 38 from 17 balls.

Even though KKR was able to score 210 runs, Capitals’ bowling was good keeping in mind the Sharjah pitch. Amit Mishra has been really impressive picking up wickets at regular intervals in the absence of Ashwin. Harshal Patel took 2 important wickets. Anrich Nortje again bowled superb to pick up 3 wickets and take the side home.

Fantasy XI team

SHREYAS IYER (9.5) (C) – Shreyas Iyer has looked phenomenal in this IPL. However, in his last match, he pushed it a notch higher by scoring 88 off just 38 balls. He’ll be our captain.

VIRAT KOHLI (10.5) (VC) – Kohli is back in form and that’s bad news for bowlers! He’s always an inning away from gaining confidence. He’ll be our vice-captain.

AB DE VILLIERS (10) – AB de Villiers has been super consistent this IPL. It’s hard to believe that he has been out of action before the IPL.

RISHABH PANT (9.5) –  Pant has looked solid as well. It’s just a matter of fact he converts his thirties into fifties and beyond.

PRITHVI SHAW (8.5) – Shaw has been in great form and has scored two fifties in four games.

DEVDATT PADIKKAL (8.5) – Youngster Padikkal has impressed everyone with his batting this year. After top order fails, he’s had 3 fifties in four matches in the IPL.

YUZVENDRA CHAHAL (9) –  Chahal has developed into a phenomenal and intelligent limited over spinner. He picked up three valuable wickets in their last match.

NAVDEEP SAINI (8.5) – Saini has looked in great form especially in the death overs. He has bowled well in death overs.

MARCUS STOINIS (8.5) – Stoinis gets 3-4 solid overs to bowl. He can pick important wickets and score important runs in the middle-order as well.

KAGISO RABADA (9.0) – Rabada has been in great form. He has been leading the DC bowling line-up really well.

ANRICH NORTJE (8) – Nortje has impressed everybody with his pacy deliveries which even touch up to 150 kmph. He has been a great late replacement in place of Chris Woakes.

PREDICTION

IPL matches have highly followed a trend of the team batting first winning the majority of the games. Therefore, whether batting first or chasing, RCB has a more versatile group of batsmen with Padikkal and de Villiers being in great form. Also, with Kohli back in form and death bowling being good lately, Royal Challengers Bangalore will probably defeat the Delhi Capitals.
