Leaked iPhone Roadmap Till 2027: No ProMotion Display for iPhone 15 and Plus

iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus to have no ProMotion Display, till 2027

Apple‘s iPhone is one of the most popular smartphones in the world, and every year, millions of people eagerly wait for the company’s latest release. The upcoming iPhone 15 and 15 Plus have been a hot topic among Apple enthusiasts, and a new leak has revealed some important details about these upcoming devices.

The rumor suggests that the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus won’t include a 120Hz ProMotion display, which many iPhone enthusiasts have been eagerly anticipating. It seems unlikely that the non-Pro iPhones will gain ProMotion until 2025 because the ProMotion technology will continue to be exclusive to the iPhone Pro models this year.

iPhone 15 further models details

This news might disappoint many Apple fans who were looking forward to experiencing the ProMotion display technology on their iPhones like iPhone 15 or upcoming models. However, Apple is known for maintaining a clear distinction between its Pro and non-Pro models, and this move is consistent with that philosophy.

The report further stated that the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus will also feature a 60Hz LTPS panel, just like the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus. The iPhone 17 and 17 Plus, which are expected to be released in 2025, will be the first non-Pro iPhone models to get an LTPO 120Hz refresh rate display.

Apart from the display, the leak also revealed that Apple is likely to introduce iPhone 17 Pro models with under-screen Face ID sensors in 2025. This move could potentially revolutionize the way we interact with our iPhones, as users would be able to unlock their devices simply by looking at the screen.

Overall, this leak provides some interesting insights into Apple’s future plans for its iPhone lineup. While the absence of ProMotion technology on the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus might disappoint some users, it’s important to note that Apple’s Pro models have always been at the forefront of innovation.

The company’s commitment to maintaining a clear distinction between its Pro and non-Pro models is also consistent with its past philosophy, and it will be interesting to see how Apple continues to differentiate between these two categories of devices in the future.
