The iPhone 17 Air is expected to be launched this fall, and numerous leaks and rumours have provided glimpses of its design and features. Some “dummy models” of the iPhone 17 series recently provided a glimpse of just how thin the Air version will be compared to the rest. Now, tipster Majin Bu has leaked a hands-on image of the iPhone 17 Air, revealing a closer look at the actual device.

iPhone 17 Air Leak Shows Thin Design and Specs; Expected to Launch This Fall at Apple’s Event in September
The picture was shared by Majin Bu on X (former Twitter), and it shows a design that looks almost exactly like the leaks previously. The pill-shaped camera bar is long and, unlike past models, it sits in a recessed oval shape with a metal rim around it. This camera module design makes it so the camera looks roughly half the size that we’d see on the iPhone 17. A camera module is located on the left, while an LED flash is on the right side.
The device in the picture has rounded edges, and the volume rocker and action buttons are placed on the left-hand side. The phone is showcased in what seems to be white colour, but there is no Apple logo there, leading us to believe this might be a dummy unit. Therefore, take this with a pinch of salt. In terms of specs, the iPhone 17 is rumored to be ridiculously thin at only 5.65mm. This slim profile means there’s room only for a USB-C port and a couple of speaker grilles.
It is speculated to be equipped with a 48MP camera, an A19 chipset, and eSIM support. The device will likely come with a 6.9-inch LTPO display with Dynamic Island, similar to the iPhone 17 Pro Max. Recent leaks also suggest that the entire iPhone 17 series will ship with 12GB of RAM. The iPhone 17 Air is expected to be unveiled during Apple‘s annual fall event in September 2025.
