The tech community is ablaze with excitement as Apple’s much-awaited iPhone 16 series at the Glow Time event has begun. The iPhone 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro, and 16 Pro Max are scheduled to make their introduction.
The event, which has an intriguing title of “It’s Glowtime,” is scheduled to begin at 10:30 PM IST. Given the event’s eye-catching trailer, many have speculated that new capabilities for Siri may take center stage.
iPhone 16, Plus, Pro, and Pro Max specifications and features
An enhanced memory subsystem built on second-generation 3nm technology and a cutting-edge 6-core CPU with two performance cores and four efficiency cores are features of the A18 chip. This model has a CPU that is up to 30% faster than the iPhone 15.
Transcribing sentences and making voice memos are just two of the many functionalities available on the iPhone 16’s customizable action button. Siri can now identify and adjudicate words thanks to its enhanced understanding capabilities.
Camera Specifications
With its second-generation quad-pixel sensor, the 48MP Fusion camera on the iPhone 16 Pro models does away with shutter latency in ProRaw and HEIF images. A quad-pixel autofocus sensor is another feature that improves the functionality of the new 48MP ultrawide camera. The 5x telephoto camera also employs a tetraprism architecture, which is available on both the standard Pro model and the Pro Max.
Users may swap between lenses with ease thanks to the camera control interface. However, a two-stage shutter feature that lets users lock focus and exposure will be added later this year via a software update. What’s odd is that this feature isn’t accessible at launch and requires a software update, despite being intended to be a key component of camera control.
The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max feature an “advanced cooling chamber” to prevent overheating while Apple Intelligence is in operation.
The A18 Pro, which is only available in Pro models, enables cutting-edge media features like higher USB 3 transfer speeds and ProRes video recording. The Apple iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max’s capabilities are further enhanced by the camera system, which gains from a combination of cutting-edge technology, software, and intelligence.
