[Rumored] iPhone 16 Pro display and camera specifications
According to a recent report from reputable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, even the more compact iPhone 16 Pro would have a tetraprism lens. He did not say how much optical zoom we might anticipate, although it should ideally be 5X or more. This isn’t the first time he’s mentioned it; in a May post on Medium, he also implied that the smaller Pro device will be larger than the outgoing model to accommodate a periscope zoom system.
The tetraprism lens on the iPhone 15 Pro Max’s 12MP sensor enables a 5X optical zoom and a maximum 25X digital zoom. This configuration is significantly bigger than the 3X telephoto module, which is why Apple supposedly only makes it available for the 6.7-inch device.
The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will have displays that measure 6.3 inches and 6.9 inches, respectively, according to a previous tip from display analyst Ross Young.
The diehards who previously enjoyed Pro features in a more compact form factor may no longer be as pleased, but given the advancements in technology in these phones, it seems reasonable that Apple has decided to raise the sizes of these smartphones to match their Android equivalents.
