It is rumored that following the release of the iPhone 15 series, tech giant Apple may retire some models of its older iPhone generations. This is because the firm is preparing for the release of the new generation of iPhones. A few of Apple‘s older models are retired each year to make place for the newest iPhones. This time, a few more iPhones from earlier generations as well as the Pro versions from the iPhone 14 series may be involved.
The Discontinued iPhones!
Currently available from Apple are the iPhone 14 series, the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 small, the iPhone 12, and the iPhone SE (2022). But with the release of the iPhone 15 series, it’s possible that Apple may drop support for the iPhone 12, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max. This would leave users with just the iPhone 13, iPhone SE (2022), standard iPhone 14, and iPhone 14 Plus.
The iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max, the iPhone 12 mini, and the iPhone 11 were all discontinued by the business in numerous territories, including India, after the release of the iPhone 14 series. When Apple stopped making the Pro models last year, many users were shocked. This was unexpected because Apple typically keeps its most recent version “Pro” iPhones in stock while discontinuing only previous generation Pro devices.
The New iPhone 15 Is Here!
In September or October, Apple plans to introduce the iPhone 15 series, which will include the iPhone 15, iPhone Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max, which will be labeled as the iPhone 15 Ultra. It’s also rumored that the business will include a number of new features in the forthcoming series, like Dynamic Island for all models, redesigned aesthetics, and many others.
