iPhone 15 Anticipated to Launch Simultaneously in India and Globally – All We Know
Apple’s highly anticipated event is just around the corner, and the internet is buzzing with rumors and excitement. The world is eagerly awaiting the unveiling of the iPhone 15, and there are whispers that Apple has some significant upgrades in store for users this year.
Typically, people in the US, Europe, the UK, and other markets get their hands on the latest iPhones as soon as they launch globally, but Indian consumers often have to wait for a month or more. However, that might change this year. Recent reports suggest that Indians could have the opportunity to unbox the iPhone 15 simultaneously with the rest of the world.
iPhone 15’s Arrival in India: On Par with Global Launch
According to a report from the Economic Times, Apple is considering an earlier iPhone 15 launch in India this year. The tech giant aims to minimize the gap with the global launch, potentially revealing the new iPhone in India just a few days apart, if not simultaneously, as the report cites sources familiar with the matter. While it’s not confirmed whether Apple will indeed launch the iPhone 15 in India at the same time or with a slight delay, the prospect is undoubtedly exciting.
A previous Bloomberg report mentioned that iPhone 15 production had commenced in Tamil Nadu, India, with a Foxconn Technology Group plant in Sriperumbudur gearing up to manufacture the new series of iPhones. Other suppliers in India, including Pegatron Corp. and a Wistron Corp. factory acquired by the Tata Group, are also expected to start production of the iPhone 15 in India soon.
Everything about the iPhone 15
The iPhone 15 launch event is scheduled for September 12 at 10:30 pm IST, and viewers can catch the event on Apple’s official YouTube channel. Besides the iPhones, Apple may also unveil the Apple Watch Series 9 and possibly an updated edition of the Apple Watch Ultra. Additionally, there might be a new device featuring an M3 processor.
All iPhone 15 models are rumored to sport the Dynamic Island Notch design, currently exclusive to the iPhone 14 Pro models. The new iPhones may also introduce USB Type C charging support, a first for Apple.
Reports have suggested significant camera upgrades for the iPhone 15, particularly in low-light performance. Some sources even claim that both the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will feature an upgraded 48-megapixel primary camera sensor, a notable improvement from the iPhone 14’s 12-megapixel dual-camera system. On the performance front, the iPhone 15 is expected to be powered by the A17 Bionic chipset, marking a substantial upgrade over the iPhone 14.
