iPhone 13 Pro vs iPhone 15 Pro

Apple has replaced the stainless steel frame of the iPhone 13 Pro with a titanium build, making it both more durable and lighter. The result is a device that feels comfortable in your hand and pocket. The iPhone 15 Pro also introduces an action button, customizable for quick access to specific features, a departure from the traditional sound on/off toggle found on the iPhone 13 Pro. Display

Both the iPhone 13 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro feature a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display. However, the iPhone 15 Pro has an always-on display feature, offering access to information without unlocking your phone. Furthermore, the iPhone 15 Pro includes Dynamic Island functions as a built-in notification center that interacts with apps. With a peak brightness of 2000 nits, the iPhone 15 Pro’s display outshines the iPhone 13 Pro’s 1200 nits, ensuring better visibility even in bright outdoor conditions.

Software

Both devices run on iOS 17 and offer many exciting features like StandBy mode, which displays essential information on the screen without manual wake-up, the same as Google Nest Hub. iOS 17 also prioritizes organized and swift accessibility. For example, live voicemail transcripts on your lock screen eliminate the need to access the phone app or voicemail tab. A new up arrow simplifies navigation in lengthy group messages. Additionally, FaceTime in iOS 17 enables video voice messages and screen projection to AirPlay-enabled TVs for a larger viewing experience.

Performance and Battery Life

One of the most significant upgrades in the iPhone 15 Pro is its processor. It comes with an A17 Pro chip featuring a 6-core CPU and 6-core GPU, it delivers a 40% performance boost over the A15 Bionic Chip in the iPhone 13 Pro. This improvement benefits both mobile gamers and everyday users.

Moreover, the iPhone 15 Pro boasts 8GB of RAM, up from the iPhone 13 Pro’s 6GB, improving overall processing and multitasking capabilities. However, in terms of battery life, the iPhone 15 Pro offers only a marginal one-hour improvement, reaching 23 hours compared to the iPhone 13 Pro’s 22 hours.

Camera

Camera quality is often a  major factor for phone upgrades, and the iPhone 15 Pro doesn’t disappoint. Its primary camera lens features a major upgrade, increasing from 12MP in the iPhone 13 Pro to 48MP in the iPhone 15 Pro. Thus capturing the photos with greater depth, sharpness, and color saturation. The new camera system automatically captures depth information in each photo, allowing you to adjust background focus afterwards for enhanced creativity and control over your photos.
