iOS 15 will feature Siri offline as well for quicker query recognition

Apple in its Annual WWDC has announced that Siri will now be able to handle a variety of requests without any internet connection.

Now you will be able to instruct Siri to set timers or switch in between apps without having to link it to any server connection. Apple’s goal with this is to provide the user with a smoother experience and a quick response time.

Apple has been criticized in the past regarding its handling of privacy. In order to prove that they take these allegations seriously, Apple has now launched a privacy provision that will ensure that audio recorded by Siri would never leave the local device.

Apart from this, Siri will also be getting a feature to announce the users messages while driving. Air-Pod users will now be able to enable Siri to announce incoming notifications that are time-sensitive. Siri will now also be able to control your Apple HomeKit devices at a specific time, for instance you can instruct Siri to turn off your bedroom lights at 10PM.

The final update to Siri is an expanded language support, with text-to-speech voice support in more languages and mixed Indic English and native language support.

iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 will bring about a smoother and faster user experience. They will be released this fall.
