While Intel launched its new 12th Gen processors (Alder Lake) for desktops most of them lacked an in-box CPU cooler, the Core i5-12600K or the Core i9-12900K, it makes sense not to give one as most people will buy dedicated coolers.

However, as Intel is progressing to announce the upcoming mid-range and budget CPUs next month, their new stock cooler offering has been leaked. As pointed out by Videocardz, most new Alder Lake CPUs that will have 65W TDP will be supplied with stock coolers by Intel in the box.

The cooler has been pictured for the first time, as revealed by @momomo_us and is similar to the Laminar RM1 cooler we saw in September. So, Intel tactfully launched its Alder Lake K-series CPUs first for which the default TDP is 125W and will launch the 65W based processors next month with these new stock coolers.

As we see in the leaks there will be three kinds of stock coolers Intel will bundle including the RS1 cooler bundles with the lower-end Celeron and Pentium processors. Whereas from Core i3 onwards to Core i7, this RM1 cooler will be offered with CPUs that will feature 65W TDP.

The RM1 cooler looks much better than what it used to be and is a direct way of making its processors more valuable. AMD has already provided stock coolers since it started Ryzen and they are much better in terms of cooling, now, as Intel looks to regain market share, it is again starting from the basics, including the stock cooler!
