The eagerly awaited NUC 13 Pro from Intel has finally been released, and it is expected to provide significant performance and efficiency enhancements over its predecessors. The Raptor Lake-P architecture is the foundation of this mini-PC, which has been given the codename Arena Canyon.

The Raptor Lake-P processors in the NUC 13 Pro series have up to 28W TDPs and 64W PL2, making them perfect for a variety of computing applications. The mini-PC is remarkably small, measuring just 117 x 112 mm, and, depending on the model, can be anywhere between 37 and 54 mm thick.

The NUC 13 Pro’s dedication to sustainability is one of its standout qualities. According to Intel, the mini-PC uses 75% post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic, making it a very eco-friendly choice. A 2.5-inch HDD or SSD can fit inside the mini-thicker PC’s model, and both sizes can support M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 SSDs in addition to up to 64 GB of DDR4-3200 RAM.

Along with various vPro options, Intel has also revealed that it will offer the NUC 13 Pro with the Core i3-1315U, Core i5-1340P, Core i5-1350P, Core i7-1360P, or Core i7-1370P processors.

The NUC 13 Pro’s cooling system should be adequate to handle the Core i7-64W 1370P’s PL2 without throttling, despite the chip’s 40W TDP (PL1) rating. The TDP of the mini-PC can be decreased to 20W in order to reduce fan noise.

A variety of ports are available on the NUC 13 Pro, including three USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, two HDMI 2.1 ports, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, a 3.5 mm audio jack, and a 2.5 GbE Ethernet port (Intel i226-LM).

The mini-PC can be ordered right now from SimplyNUC for prices beginning at €619, VAT excluded. A Core i5-1340P processor, 4 GB of RAM, and a 256 GB SSD are all included in this starting price. Although complete pricing and availability information has not yet been released, higher-end options with the Core i7-1360P, 4 GB RAM, and 4 GB RAM are also available for €799.
