The first generation of AI PCs was introduced by Intel with the release of its Intel® CoreTM Ultra mobile CPUs. The Intel Core Ultra is the company’s most AI-capable and energy-efficient client CPU, offering specialised AI acceleration across the central processing unit, graphics processing unit, and neural processing unit architectures.

According to Intel, the Core Ultra 7 165H chip outperforms rival laptop CPUs such as the AMD Ryzen 7 7840U, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3, and Apple’s proprietary M3 chip by 11% in terms of multi-threading performance.
By directing more AI processing toward devices rather than data centers, Intel hopes to gain the upper hand. This is precisely what the new Ultra Core chips do, and they will be offered in about 230 PC models from firms like Dell Technologies and Samsung Electronics. according to Intel, as early as Thursday.
For the time being, the artificial intelligence sector has focused on creating chatbots and related services by flooding the software with data during a procedure known as training. With eight Xe cores operating at up to 2.35GHz, the integrated Arc GPU in the Core Ultra 9 185H has a boost frequency of up to 5.1GHz. Intel’s XeSS upscaling technology and ray tracing are now supported by the new Xe LPG architecture, which also increases performance at a lower minimum voltage.
Other possibilities that aren’t nearly as powerful as Intel’s flagship include the Core Ultra 7 165U, Core Ultra 5 135H, Core Ultra 5 135U, and a few more.
