Additionally, this release brings improvements like Intel AVX10.1 ISA support, OpenMP kernel language support, bug fixes, and the inclusion of the “mapxf” switch to enable Intel Advanced Performance Extensions (APX). The upcoming Panther Lake CPUs will follow in the footsteps of Arrow Lake CPUs on desktop and mobile platforms, with Cougar Cove P Cores paired with optimized Skymont E Cores.

Panther Lake chips are expected to boost AI performance by leveraging the Intel 18A process node and Celestial Xe3 iGPU cores, outperforming Lunar Lake. In the server realm, Clearwater Forest E Core Xeon CPUs are set to debut in 2025, replacing Sierra Forest E Core Xeons. These processors will sport Darkmont cores based on the 18A process node and target cloud and data center sectors competing with the AMD Zen 5C architecture.

With a capacity of up to 288 cores, Clearwater Forest CPUs aim to offer performance and efficiency, for server applications. Intel is set to provide further insights into its next-gen CPU architectures and product family during Computex in June, promising more details on the advancements in their lineup.
