Intel’s Core Ultra 7 255HX, part of the upcoming Arrow Lake-HX lineup, has been spotted in a Geekbench AI benchmark, revealing exciting details about its specifications. This high-performance mobile CPU was tested in a Clevo X580 laptop, which also featured an unnamed NVIDIA RTX 50 series laptop GPU, hinting at a powerful pairing for next-gen gaming and AI workloads.

Intel Core Ultra 7 255HX Spotted: Arrow Lake-HX CPU Paired with NVIDIA RTX 50 Series GPU

Core Ultra 7 255HX: High-End Performance for Laptops

The Core Ultra 7 255HX is a 20-core processor with 8 performance cores and 12 efficiency cores, offering a base clock of 2.5 GHz and a boost clock of up to 5.2 GHz on the P-cores. While details about its L3 cache and integrated GPU (iGPU) are limited, the chip reportedly features 64 EUs for its Xe-LPG-based iGPU, clocked at 1.9 GHz. This CPU is part of Intel’s Core Ultra 200HX series, which includes higher-end models like the Core Ultra 9 275HX and 285HX with up to 24 cores and 5.5 GHz boost clocks, as well as lower-end options like the Core Ultra 5 245HX.

NVIDIA RTX 50 Series GPU: A Glimpse of the Future

The benchmark also tested an unnamed NVIDIA RTX 50 series laptop GPU, likely part of NVIDIA’s upcoming Blackwell architecture. While the GPU’s exact model remains unclear, its single-precision score of 6500 and half-precision score of 15,760 suggest it could be an entry-level model, possibly the RTX 5050. However, these AI-focused benchmarks don’t fully reflect the GPU’s gaming capabilities, leaving much to anticipate as NVIDIA prepares to launch its RTX 50 series alongside its desktop Blackwell GPUs.

What to Expect

The pairing of Intel’s Arrow Lake-HX CPUs with NVIDIA’s RTX 50 series GPUs signals a new era of high-performance laptops designed for gaming, AI, and productivity. With CES 2025 just around the corner, we can expect more details about these cutting-edge components and their potential to redefine mobile computing. Stay tuned for updates as Intel and NVIDIA gear up to showcase their next-gen technologies!
