Intel and Lenovo are reportedly building Next-Generation PCs in Shanghai

According to DigiTimes, Intel, and Lenovo’s Advanced System Innovation Lab acts as a breeding ground where engineers from both businesses combine their abilities to produce next-generation laptops with high performance, elegance, features, and user experience.

Lenovo and Intel have a long history of collaboration on numerous breakthrough devices, including the ThinkPad X-series and ThinkPad X Fold series. Intel and Lenovo must overcome not only hardware-related obstacles such as performance, power management, and thermals but also software-related issues in order to construct such computers.

Furthermore, Intel’s dedicated teams collaborate closely with Lenovo at other co-engineering labs in Zizhu and Pudong.

The invention of an OLED display driver that can run two OLED panels instead of one is a significant achievement of the Advanced System Innovation Lab in Shanghai, opening the door to a number of potentially fascinating application cases.

Furthermore, both firms collaborated with DRAM manufacturers to improve LPDDR5 memory data transmission rates.

While Lenovo is an important partner, Intel collaborates with other worldwide PC OEMs and software companies. Their shared purpose is to break down technology hurdles, discover root causes, and provide better PC solutions. This collaborative approach has resulted in several breakthroughs in CPU, power, thermal management, and other PC components.
