While the youngsters are key to the growth of football, there is no exception in the Indian Super League (ISL). Here we are talking about the latest top 10 most valuable U21 players in the ISL.   

Talking about the latest top 10 most valuable U21 players, the players must have performed in the senior level of football (even excluding ISL). As the valuation and performances follow parallel movements, these U21 players can strongly battle for the Emerging Player of the League award in the next ISL season.

10. Givson Singh (INR 83 lakh)

The 20-year-old Givson Singh is an attacking midfielder. He is currently serving for Kerala Blasters since his Indian Super League debut in early January 2021. His current contract with the club will run till May 2024.

9. Rohit Danu (INR 83 lakh)

The 19-year-old centre-forward Rohit Danu made his ISL debut in December 2020 for Hyderabad FC. Rohit’s present contract with his first ISL club will end in May 2023.

8. Vikram Pratap Singh (INR 1.04 crore)

The 20-year-old forward Vikram Pratap Singh is playing for Mumbai City FC since the 2020/21 season as their latest contract will run till May 2023. While Mumbai City FC won the ISL 2020/21 trophy, he had few substitute roles in that competition. In his next ISL season, he impressed with better game time.

7. Ninthoi Meetei (INR 1.04 crore)

The 20-year-old winger Ninthoi Meetei made his ISL debut for NorthEast United in the 2019/20 season. After serving for NorthEast United for two seasons, he signed a three-year contract with Chennaiyin FC ahead of the 2021/22 season.

6. Moirangthem Thoiba (INR 1.04 crore)

The 19-year-old central-midfielder Moirangthem Thoiba is playing for Odisha FC since the beginning of the ISL 2020/21 season. Though he only appeared once in his maiden ISL season, he was the regular starter in the next ISL season for the same club. His contract with the club will end in May 2023.

5. Jitendra Singh (INR 1.25 crore)

The 20-year-old centre-back Jitendra Singh is playing ISL for Jamshedpur FC since the 2019/20 season. He is now a regular starter for his ISL team. However, currently, he is a free agent as his latest contract with Jamshedpur just finished.

4. Ricky John Shabong (INR 1.25 crore)

The 19-year-old Ricky John Shabong is a talented defensive midfielder. Though he signed a two-year contract with ATK Mohun Bagan ahead of the 2021/22 season, he hasn’t made his ISL debut yet. Rather than, he served for Rajasthan United on loan in the 2021/22 season in his familiar I-League, where he impressed with his performances.

3. Jeakson Singh (INR 1.66 crore)

The 20-year-old defensive midfielder Jeakson Singh is playing for Kerala Blasters since ISL 2019/20. He is now a regular starter for his ISL team, with whom he has a contract till May 2025 after just recently signing a new three-year contract extension.

2. Yumkhaibam Jiteshwor Singh (INR 1.66 crore)

The 20-year-old defensive midfielder Yumkhaibam Jiteshwor Singh is yet to make his ISL debut. The newest ISL footballer is ready to serve for Chennaiyin FC, with whom he recently signed a contract. If anyone doubts over his high market value, there is a powerful clarification that he is the latest Emerging Player of the I-League award winner (2021/22). He played for NEROCA FC in the I-League for three seasons (also for Bhawanipore on loan in the I-League 2nd division) before receiving his first ISL contract.

The 20-year-old left-back Akash Mishra made his Indian Super League debut in the 2020/21 season, serving for his present team Hyderabad FC. The youngster has highly impressed in his first two ISL seasons as he has some impressive stats as a defender. He was a key member during Hyderabad’s first ISL title in the 2021/22 season.
