The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced on this Tuesday about the hosts of ICC Events in the 2024-2031 cycle. The BCCI will be hosting three of the eight events including the 2026 T20 World Cup and the 2031 ODI World Cup. India will also host the 2023 ODI World Cup.
13 other nations apart from India has been confirmed to be the host for ICC men’s white-ball events from 2024-2031. 11 full member countries and three associate countries will be the host for different events across the eight-year cycle.
A competitive binding process was used to select the hosts. The process was overseen by Martin Snedden, Sourav Ganguly and Ricky Skerrit.
India to host T20 World Cup in 2026 and ODI World Cup in 2031
It got confirmed by ICC Board sub-committee that this country will host 2026 T20 World Cup, 2029 Champions Trophy and 2031 ODI World Cup. Further, the Board has accepted the recommendations of the committee while deciding the hosts for different tournaments.
The 2026 T20 World Cup will be held here along with Sri Lanka. 2031 ODI World Cup will be jointly hosted by India and Bangladesh. The 2029 Champions Trophy will be hosted by India alone.

To have 14 Members hosting 8 events is a reflection of the truly global nature of our sport and I’d like to thank every Member that submitted a bid and offer our congratulations to the successful bidders,”

A total of 14 hosts have been selected as hosts for the ICC events from 2024-31
USA and Namibia will be hosting the ICC World Cup for the first time.
