India won the third game against Sri Lanka by a margin of 317 runs which is the highest so far in ODI cricket. Inda chose to bat first and posted a huge total of 390/5 in the fifty overs. Virat Kohli smashed another ton in the final ODI and his score stood at 166 off 110 balls. in his innings, he hit 13 fours and eight sixes. Youngster Shubman Gill also scored 116 in just 97 balls. The visitors could reach only 73 runs in 22 overs.

India won the three-match highlights against Sri Lanka by 3-0. India broke New Zealand’s record when they won an ODI against Ireland by 290 runs. India elected to bat first where Shubman Gill smashed 116 off 97 balls and Virat Kohli remained unbeaten on 166 off 110 balls. Indian skipper Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill had a run stand of 95 runs in 15.2 overs. Kohli and Gill had a partnership of 131 runs for the second wicket which helped the men in blue post such a huge total.

Kasun Rajitha and Lahiri Kumara scalped two wickets while Chamika Karuunaratne picked one wicket. The Indian bowlers dominated the entire game, the Sri Lankan players couldn’t even reach the 100 mark. Mohammad Siraj had a four-wicket haul whereas Mohammad Shami and Kuldeep Yadav scalped two wickets each. Mohammad Siraj missed his five-wicket haul in ODI against Sri Lanka and expressed his grief. Kohli was awarded the man of the match for an unbeaten 166 and man of the series for gathering 283 runs which included two centuries.

India is set to face the New Zealand team in their next ODI on January 18, 2023 which starts at 1:30 PM.
