India’s first Test match against Sri Lanka was held in Mohali, Chandigarh where spectators were allowed since it was former skipper Virat Kohli’s 100th Test match. The match was dominated by Rishabh Pant and Hanuma Vihari, both of them crossed 50 runs individually.

Kohli’s landmark test match

It was Virat Kohli’s 100th Test match of his career. He scored 45 off 75 balls, he brought up 8000 Test runs for the team. Fans are eagerly waiting for his 71st Test century and it looks like they have to wait for a little longer. The last time he scored a Test century was at Eden Gardens in 2019 against Bangladesh.

“I am preparing as I have always prepared. As long as I am batting well, I am not bothered. We are somehow crazy about milestones and materialistic achievements. it felt like I am making my debut. Had butterflies in my stomach, did feel very nervous.”- said Virat Kohli
