India vs South Africa: Everything you need to know

India’s three-match T20 series with South Africa is set to begin on September 28. In the recently concluded India vs Australia T20 series the former won the series, 2-1. Their last tour in the country was in June when the series ended in a draw after the decider got washed out.

It will be a competitive series since South Africa has been in their top-notch form winning four matches in a row out of the last T20I matches. They defeated Ireland by 2-0 in August and England by 2-1 in July. This year, this is the third time that the two teams are going to clash.

The South African team has already announced their squads for T20Is and ODIs but India is yet to announce their ODI squad. Rohit Sharma will lead the Men in Blue while the South African team is set to be led by Temba Bavuma.

When the two teams met in June, the Indian squad didn’t have its senior players like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, and Jasprit Bumrah. This time, they’ll be facing each other with the senior members in the squad, it is expected to be a very tough fight.
