The second test match between India and Australia began today. India chose to bat first and gave a target of 202 runs and South Africa scored 35 runs losing one cricket on Monday. Dean Elgar scored 11 and Keegan Peterson scored 14 runs before the ending of the match.

India elected to bat first, Mayank Agarwal and KL Rahul had a steady start against South Africa. After the drinks break, Mayank Agarwal got dismissed by Marco Jansen. Cheteshwar Pujara returned to the pavilion at 3 and got out by Duanne Oliver. India then had a figure of 53/3. In the session, Hanuma Vihari and KL Rahul hit a half-century in the innings had a solid partnership of 42 runs. Kagiso Rabida dismissed Vihari at 20 runs.
