India is definitely leading at the end of the final session of the fourth day at the first day. The Test matches are being India have the upper hand at the end of the final held at Green park, Kanpur. The Kiwis need to have a good comeback in order to win the series. New Zealand needs 280 runs on the final say with 9 wickets in their pocket. India had finished their second innings at 234 and is leading by 283 runs in the third session.

India lost four wickets in addition to 70 runs in the morning. Shreyas Iyer, scored 65 runs before Tim Southee took wicket, he took 3 wickets giving only 48 runs. Wriddhiman Saha scored 61, still not out and Axar patel made 28 runs for not out. They made the team come into a good position. Earlier, India had 49-run first innings lead after Axar Patel got 5 wickets giving just 62 runs. India set a target of 345 and New Zealand’s team got done for just 269.

New Zealand (Playing XI): Tom Latham, Will Young, Kane Williamson, Ross Taylor, Henry Nicholls, Tom Blundell(w), Rachin Ravindra, Tim Southee, Ajaz Patel, Kyle Jamieson, William Somerville

Shreyas Iyer becomes the first Indian to have a huge victory in on Day 4

Shreyas Iyer’s 64 run stand with Wriddhiman Saha helped the team cross 200 runs.

Shreyas has hit 8 boundaries and one six in the second innings and had amazing selection of shots when senior players like Rahane and Pujara couldn’t deliver.

It will be really difficult for the team to decide which player to keep when Virat Kohli returns as the skipper.
