India holistically beat Australia by eight wickets in the Boxing Day Test match. India took a lead of 131 runs in the first innings, and due to the century by skipper Ajinkya Rahane, The run chase for Australia increased. The Aussies again started from 133 for six and added more 67 runs before getting bowled before lunch in the extended first session.

Although the boxing test has been without the stars like, skipper Virat Kohli who is on paternity leave, Rohit Sharma, who is in quarantine, Mohammed Shami, Umesh Yadav, Bhuvaneshwar Kumar and Ishant Sharma, as they are injured. But Ajinkya Rahane and Co. ensured that they don’t lose their nerves.
