Virat Kohli played an agressive innings of 140 runs.

India cruised to victory with 47 balls to spare as the hosts made a positive start to the five-match ODI series against the touring West Indies team.

Virat scored his 36th odi ton yesterday in his 204th innings, Sachin took 311 innings to reach this feat. It is his 22nd century while chasing. It was Kohli’s fifth ODI century against West Indies, which is the most by an Indian batsman. The skipper’s century was his 15th century at home.

Rohit Sharma brought up his century four balls quicker than Kohli, in 84 balls, and remained not out at 152. His innings consisted of 15 fours and 8 sixes.

Rohit Sharma on Sunday broke master blaster Sachin Tendulkar and Australian opener David Warner’s joint record to become the first batsman with six 150-plus scores in One-Day Internationals.

Rohit along with captain Virat Kohli added 200 runs for the second wicket off 163 balls, the first double-hundred partneship among Indian batsmen against West Indies for any wicket in ODI cricket. The partnership is the best partnership till date while chasing.
