IGC Launches Free MOBA Legends 5v5 Tournament on Discord

Insurgence Gaming Company (IGC) is opening doors for amateur MOBA players across India with its new Discord Play-Ins tournament series. Unlike invite-only events, this competition welcomes everyone—no gatekeeping, no entry barriers, just pure competitive action starting January 31.

What Makes This Different?

After launching La Imperia—a visibility-focused invitational VALORANT tournament for women—IGC is shifting gears. The MOBA Legends Play-Ins prioritize accessibility over exclusivity. Every match, bracket update, and team communication happens through Discord, making organized esports competition available to players who’ve never had the chance before.

“With La Imperia, we focused on visibility. With the Discord Play-Ins, the focus shifts to access,” explains Jasper Shabin, Founder of Insurgence Gaming Company. “Competitive players need regular places to play, improve, and test themselves, not just one-off tournaments.”

How It Works

The tournament runs entirely on Discord, eliminating the complexity often tied to traditional esports events. Teams register through a simple Google Form, join the official IGC Discord server, and compete in structured 5v5 matches using MOBA Legends’ Draft Pick format.

Beyond match schedules, the Discord server offers dedicated channels for:

• Match coordination and reporting
• Tournament brackets and updates
• Post-game discussions and analysis
• Community building between tournament runs

This creates continuity rather than one-and-done tournament experiences. Players can connect, learn from each other, and stay engaged with the competitive scene between events.

Why MOBA Legends?

IGC chose MOBA Legends 5v5 strategically. As one of the most accessible competitive mobile titles in India, it removes hardware barriers that often exclude talented players. The game’s growing community and competitive depth make it ideal for grassroots development.

Join the Action

Getting started is straightforward:

1. Register your team: Fill out the official registration form
2. Join Discord: Connect with the community on the IGC Gaming Discord server
3. Prepare for competition: Match details and schedules will be shared through Discord

IGC is addressing real gaps in India’s esports ecosystem—particularly at amateur and semi-professional levels where consistent tournament opportunities remain scarce. By pairing high-visibility events like La Imperia with open competitive pathways, they’re building infrastructure that supports long-term grassroots growth.
