India smashed Scotland with their massive effort in today’s match held at Dubai International stadium. India had to chase 86 runs which they accomplished in 6.3 overs. Scotland batted first and all their wickets were gone in 17.4 overs. Team India took its run rate (NRR) to +1.619 which is best among all the teams, even better than Pakistan(+1.065) which ranks the highest. India moved to the third spot in Group 2. The fastest 50 of T20 World Cup 2021 came in this match within four overs. The team’s victory by a huge margin has to be Virat Kohli’s best present on his 33rd birth anniversary.

India vs Scotland : Match Highlights

Indian captain Virat Kohli won the toss and decided to bowl first. Indian bowlers Ravindra Jadeja and Mohammad Shami had their career-best T20 performances as they took 3 wickets giving only 15 runs. He added that the bowlers of Scotland performed well too that created pressure on them but the batting in those two overs changes the entire game for them.

This was the comeback everyone wished Team India to have. Everyone is eager to see India’s next performance against Namibia which will decide India’s final destiny in the ICC T20 World Cup for this edition.
