He made his ODI debut against Pakistan at Adelaide Oval in January 30, 1884. He was one of the main contributors in the middle order in both Test and ODI formats. In Australia’s victory in 1987, he was the main architect. He played his last ODI against South Africa at Newlands in 1994.
5. Brian Lara – 1049 days
Last on the list is Brian Lara. He made his ODI debut against Pakistan in 1990. He mustered 10,000+ runs in this format his highest being 169 in 129 deliveries. He is also considered to be one of the greatest batters of all time. His last ODI was against England in 2007. He was at the top of the ODI ICC rankings for 1049 days.
