Historic Rebranding: OMEN Becomes HyperX

At CES 2026, HP announced that OMEN and HyperX—previously separate brands for gaming laptops and peripherals respectively—are officially merging under the HyperX umbrella. This unification creates a comprehensive gaming ecosystem spanning laptops, keyboards, mice, headsets, monitors, and controllers.

“Gamers deserve a seamless experience that matches their passion, from the systems that power their worlds to the gear that connects them,” said Josephine Tan, Senior Vice President at HP Inc.

The HyperX OMEN 15 spotted on Flipkart represents the first Indian launch under this new branding strategy, beating global availability timelines and positioning India as a priority market for HP’s gaming division.

Game-Changing Features: What Sets It Apart

34% Faster Keyboard Response: The HyperAction keyboard boasts an 8000Hz polling rate—4x faster than previous generations. For esports professionals and competitive gamers on TechnoSports, this translates to near-instantaneous input registration, critical in fast-paced titles like Valorant, CS2, and Apex Legends.

OMEN Tempest Cooling: HP’s proprietary cooling technology features dual-fan architecture with Fan Cleaner technology that prevents dust accumulation—the number one killer of gaming laptop performance. The tagline says it all: “Overheating was never an option.”

OMEN AI Integration: The laptop includes OMEN AI software that optimizes system settings, game configurations, and hardware performance with one click. HP claims up to 42% FPS improvement in supported titles like Fortnite and League of Legends.

8000Hz Polling Rate Keyboard: Ultra-fast 0.125ms response time from key press to on-screen action—faster than most dedicated gaming keyboards.
