The Post Malone in-game event will take place from December 12, 2024, until Feb. 10, 2025, transporting players to a supernatural carnival as it passes through the bayou, gulch, and elsewhere. The show’s narrative sets Post Malone up to be the Deposed King — a former Ringmaster who was consumed by HelioStone, a malevolent and supernatural artifact that forms new leads into a horror-tinged commonwealth that exists within Team Fortress 2.
As players make their way through the circus, however, they’ll need to contend with a slew of new enemies, including the horrifying two-headed bear, Ursa Mortis, and several variations of Circus Grunts. These monsters add an exciting new layer of danger and interest to the event’s locales, including the circus compound itself.
To combat these new terrors, players will be armed with new weapons like the Shredder, which fires saw blades, and the Chu Ko Nu, a repeating crossbow. But also more variants of weapons like the 1865 Carbine Aperture and suppressed versions of the Krag, Maynard Sniper, and Sparks Pistol. The update also adds new gear, like the Recovery Shot consumable and Subsonic Ammo type to assist players in surviving the wild world of the circus.
While the new content has been added, this update also includes overhauled silencer mechanics, animation tweaks, bug fixes, and quality-of-life improvements to create a great experience for both new players and veterans alike.
