The original MatePad SE from Huawei debuted in 2022 and was a solid, affordable option. Skip ahead to 2024 and the MatePad SE 11 has arrived, introducing the latest chapter in its budget tablet saga.
The All New Huawei MatePad SE 11
This is another variant of the MatePad SE 2022, but, as the name suggests, the MatePad SE 11 has a larger 11-inch display. The screen remains using LCD technology and has a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels that produces a FullHD+ resolution and keeps the trendy 16:10 aspect ratio. Moreover, it gets an 85% screen-to-body ratio and claims slimmer bezels and better experience as well.
The screen offers a maximum brightness of 400 nits, which is enough for indoor use, as well as a contrast ratio of 1400:1 and 16.7 million colors. Additionally, it offers full coverage of the sRGB color space and includes a specialized eBook mode for optimized reading.
The tablet weighs about 475 grams and measures 252.3 x 163.8 x 6.9mm, packs in a metal body design. Available in Crystal Blue and Nebula Gray colors Powering the MatePad SE 11 under the hood is a Kirin 710A or Snapdragon 680 chipset which depends on the region, the tablet runs HarmonyOS 2.0 out of the box. The new OS will pack in features like multi-window support, multi-screen collaboration, seamless data transfer, and screen sharing.

The MatePad SE 11 also features an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera.
