Huawei revealed its flip phone with a foldable screen, the P50 Pocket in December 2021 in China. Following this, the Huawei Pocket S, positioned as a lower-tier flagship model was launched in 2022. Today through its Weibo account the brand has officially announced that its upcoming flip phone, the Huawei Pocket 2 is scheduled to be unveiled at 2 pm on February 22nd in China. The company has not released specifications, for the device yet. However recent reports have provided insights into what can be expected from Pocket 2.
All About the Huawei Pocket 2
As per these reports, the Huawei Pocket 2 will feature a design language similar to that of the P50 Pocket and Pocket S models showcasing two modules on the back—one for the triple camera setup and another, for the secondary display.
It is anticipated that the Pocket 2 will come in three color options: black and purple. Speculations suggest that the purple variant might come with a leather finish while the white and black variants could feature a glass back. There are also rumors hinting at a customized version of the device known as “Art.” Reports indicate that the upcoming Pocket 2 is set to feature a 4,520mAh battery that supports 66W charging possibly making it the clamshell phone, with the battery capacity so far. In contrast to models that did not have 5G capabilities the Pocket 2 is anticipated to have 5G connectivity thanks, to the integration of the Kirin 9000S chip.
The device is rumored to offer up to 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. Additionally, it is speculated to feature other functionalities such as messaging via satellite connectivity and a waterproof build. Alongside the Pocket 2, Huawei is expected to unveil the Freelace Pro 2 Bluetooth neckband; however, specific details about this device are currently scarce.
