A 12.2-inch dual-layer OLED display powers the Huawei MatePad Pro, while a 12-inch IPS LCD panel powers the MatePad Air.

The MatePad Pro supports 100W of charging, while the latter only provides 66W. Huawei MatePad Air models come with up to 12GB RAM and up to 512GB of storage, while MatePad Pro models can be customized with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB of storage.

This is because a Huawei MatePad Pro 12.2 with model number MRO-W09 has been detected on the TDRA certification website in the United Arab Emirates.

Although the chipsets of the new tablets from Huawei have not been made public, it is thought that the Huawei MatePad Pro model is powered by a tweaked Kirin 9010 SoC. 8GB, 12GB, and 256GB or 512GB of RAM and storage are available for the Huawei MatePad Air. A 16GB RAM and 1TB storage model is also available for the Pro.

The Wi-Fi-only model of the Huawei MatePad Pro, which comes with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage, starts at CNY 4,199, or around Rs. 49,000. The Wi-Fi 16GB +1TB Gold Edition (with keyboard and stylus) costs CNY 8,199, or approximately Rs. 95,000. It is available in Gold, Black, and White hues.

The Wi-Fi 8GB + 256GB RAM and storage edition of Huawei’s MatePad Air (2024) starts at CNY 2,899, or around Rs. 33,000. Priced at CNY 3,899 (about Rs. 45,000), the top-tier Wi-Fi 12GB+512GB Soft Light Edition. It comes in the following color options: Feather Sand White, Green, Sakura Powder, and Smoke and Ash (which is the translation from Chinese).
