HTC Unveils HTC U23 and HTC U23 Pro

On May 18, 2023, Taiwan officially released the HTC U23 and HTC U23 Pro. The company previously released a teaser for the HTC U23 line. Additionally, it was stated in the official teaser that the smartphones are compatible with the Viverse VR platform. Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipsets power smartphones. Both phones have IP67 certifications. The pro model has a quad-rear camera system, while the regular model has a triple-rear camera unit.

The standard HTC U23 model comes in Aqua Blue and Roland Violet color options, and it features a single storage option of 8GB+128GB. In addition, customers can buy the HTC U23 Pro via the HTC Taiwan online store. The 8GB+256GB model costs TWD 16,990 (about ₹45,500), while the 12GB+256GB model costs TWD 17,990 (about ₹48,200). The Pro model is available in Coffee Black and Muxer White color schemes. Customers can get a free HTC True Wireless Bluetooth Headset II with their purchase of the smartphone till May 30 as part of a short-term launch promotion.

Specifications that are identical for both the HTC U23 and HTC U23 Pro versions. The dual nano SIM-supported smartphones have a 6.7-inch full-HD+ (2400×1080 pixels) OLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz, and they come pre-installed with Android 13. They feature the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC with up to 256GB of internal storage and 12GB of RAM.

The HTC U23 has a triple back camera set with a 64-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The HTC U23 Pro’s quad rear camera unit, on the other hand, features a 108-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, a 5-megapixel macro unit, as well as a 2-megapixel depth camera. Both phones, however, feature a 32-megapixel front-facing camera sensor in a hole-punch at the top of the screen.

The HTC U23 series phones, which are powered by 4,600mAh batteries, offer 30W wired fast charging as well as 15W wireless charging. Both handsets offer side-mounted fingerprint sensors for added security. The phones also include WiFi 6, GPS, Bluetooth v5.2, USB Type-C connectivity, and a 3.5mm audio connector. The HTC U23 Pro has dimensions of 166.6×77.09×8.88 mm and a weight of 205 grams. The standard HTC U23 is 166.6 mmx77.09mmx8.88 mm in size and weighs 202 grams. Each phone has an IP67 rating.
