When the manga version debuted in 2016, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba swept the globe, selling approximately 150 million copies in total. It is important to know that Demon Slayer is the ninth most popular manga series ever.

When the anime premiered in 2019, and two more television seasons followed, by films within the same universe, all based on Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, a manga by Koyoharu Gotouge, which ran from 2016 to 2020 and was split into a total of 23 collections. However, it may be complicated to watch a few Demon Slayer anime films, which sometimes sound as if they overlap or arguably merge individual episodes and make a full-length sequence.

The series follows Tanjiro Kamado, a young man training to become a demon slayer, through the ranks after his family’s death and sister’s transformation into a demon. Season 4, which is currently being followed by many fans, continues with the Hashira Training Arc. How do you go about watching seasons and movies? The following is a review of the Demon Slayer franchise in the order that it is best viewed:

  • Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 1
  • Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train OR Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2 – Mugen Train Arc
  • Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba season 2 – Entertainment District Arc
  • Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba – To the Swordsmith Village OR Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba Season 3 – Swordsmith Village Arc
  • Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba Season 4 – Hashira Training Arc

Newcomers should begin with season 1, after which they’ll have various options. Season 2 is split into the Mugen Train Arc and the Entertainment District Arc. The first film, Mugen Train, covers the first half of season 2, but the TV show contains additional content.

The second film, To the Swordsmith Village, adapts the final episodes of season 2 and the beginning of season 3, while season 3 covers the manga’s Swordsmith Village arc in its entirety. Focused on the relatively concise Hashira Training arc, season 4 has yet to see the start of the Infinity Castle arc, where the series ascends to fully realized greatness. Therefore, it is up to the fans to decide whether to watch in order of the appearance of the episodes or choose to watch the film or the arc within Season 2.
