Top 5 Counter Strategies Against Latios

1. Force Team Fights Early

Latios excels in prolonged battles, making it crucial to stick to teamfights and avoid facing it alone. Coordinate with your team for quick engagements that don’t allow Latios to build up Eon power through extended combat.

2. Control Wild Pokemon Areas

The key to limiting Latios’s power lies in map control. Prevent Latios from freely farming wild Pokemon near important objectives like Rotom and Drednaw. The fewer wild targets available, the harder it becomes for Latios to accumulate Eon power.

3. Apply Constant Pressure

Don’t give Latios breathing room. Maintain aggressive positioning and force quick team wipes before the opponent can set up their combos. This strategy works particularly well during the early to mid-game phases.

4. Target Latios in Team Fights

Since Latios is relatively fragile, focus fire on eliminating it first in team engagements. Use Pokemon with gap-closing abilities or hard crowd control to prevent Latios from maintaining safe distances.

5. Maintain Superior Map Awareness

Map awareness is crucial when facing Latios. Monitor its positioning and anticipate Draco Meteor placements. Stay spread out to minimize AOE damage impact on your entire team.
