The arrival of Horizon Forbidden West on PC in 2024 has been officially revealed by Sony. The next PlayStation game to be ported to the PC is said to be Horizon Zero Dawn 2, according to recent reports that have been circulating. Sony issued a statement following its recently finished State of the Play event.
The announcement comes shortly after Guerrilla Games launched the Burning Shores DLC for Horizon Forbidden West, which received a notable amount of positive feedback from fans. It didn’t take long after the DLC launch for rumors to start to circulate about what the firm would be working on next. Early in September, a significant leak suggested that a Forbidden West Complete Edition might be on the way. Guerrilla has now formally confirmed these reports by revealing the upcoming PlayStation exclusive that will be available on the PC platform.
According to Guerrilla Games, the PC version of Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition will be available in early 2024 on Steam and the Epic Game Store.
The Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart PC game and Spider-Man Remastered, both released last year, were both co-developed by Guerrilla and Nixxes Software. The PC port of Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition won’t be available until after the October 6 release of the PS5 version, according to the makers. Sony hasn’t officially disclosed the game’s price, but previous launches indicate that it would come with a $60 price tag.
The PC versions of the PlayStation maker’s games have seen a lot of success. Marvel’s Spider-Man on PC, for example, outperformed God of War in its first week and has since sold over 1.5 million copies there, generating over $52 million in sales. The PC port of The Last of Us Part 1 had over $15.5 million in sales in May, a month after its release. Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, which was published more recently, hasn’t quite reached comparable sales, but Sony was nonetheless pleased with how the game was received in general.
Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition releases on October 6 for PS5 and early 2024 for PC.
