Honor, the once crown jewel of Huawei, has made it’s MagicBook 16 and 16 Pro official, and the two variants essentially have the same specs, and both have 16.1-inch 100% sRGB LCDs with the hyped 144Hz refresh rates. Both are powered by AMD’s Ryzen 7 5800H and touts 16GB of RAM and 512GB SSD. All these specifications are standard for both the 16 and 16 Pro.

However, there is but one difference between the two, and it’s that the Pro variant comes with the option of discrete graphics.  The device comes with the choice of the GTX 1650, priced at 6,499 yuan (~US$860), or the RTX 3050 at 7,299 yuan (~$966).

On the other hand, Honor’s MagicBook 16, starts at 4,999 yuan (~$661) for an SKU with the Ryzen 5 5600H and also goes as as high 5,499 yuan (~$727) with the 7 5800H. All of those new 16-series PCs can be ordered in China from now and will arrive with Windows 10.

We also have another MagicBook which is the MagicBook V 14, which comes with Windows 11 out of the box. It has a 14.2-inch LCD with a 3:2 aspect ratio and a 90Hz refresh rate. the V 14 also has quad mics in addition to quad speakers and Honor has paid special attention to the laptop’s keyboard and has provided it with a special stain-resistant resin.

The MagicBook V 14 has a choice of Core i5-11320H or i7-11390H processors, and sports 16 GB of RAM. The i5 comes with and without GeForce MX450 dedicated graphics, and is priced at 6,199 yuan (~$820) and 6,999 yuan (~$926) respectively. The top-end model is priced at 7,999 yuan (~$1,058).

They will start selling on October 6, 2021, in China only.
