Honor X9b Launch Anticipation Grows in India as HTech CEO Madhav Sheth Unveils Teaser Video

Following the successful launch of the Honor 90 in India during the latter part of the previous year, HTech is now poised to unveil its second smartphone and expand its range of Honor products, including smartwatches and TWS earbuds. The impending launch seems imminent, as evidenced by HTech CEO Madhav Sheth’s teaser of the Honor X9b on X (formerly Twitter), particularly after the phone recently obtained BIS certification.

The HTech CEO provided a glimpse of the upcoming Honor X9b through a brief video showcasing the unboxing of the device. While not explicitly naming the phone, the design strongly suggests it is the Honor X9b. The video also offers a sneak peek at the phone’s back panel, featuring a sizable circular module housing triple cameras, an LED flash, and engraved text indicating “Matrix AI Vision Camera.”

The circular camera module is adorned with a gold ring, and the back panel boasts curved edges with the volume rocker and power buttons positioned on the right edge. The showcased Honor X9b is in Black, hinting at potential color options upon launch. However, the executive has yet to disclose a timeline for the launch or any additional details about the phone.

Honor X9b 5G includes a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a resolution of 1200 × 2652 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, 1200 nits peak brightness, 429ppi pixel density, 1920Hz PWM dimming, and SGS Glass protection. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor with Adreno 710 GPU, paired with options for 8GB or 12GB RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 onboard storage, with additional support for 8GB virtual RAM.

Running on Android 13-based MagicOS 7.2 custom skin out of the box, the Honor X9b boasts a triple camera setup on the back, featuring a 108MP primary camera, a 5MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 2MP macro lens. For selfies and video chats, there is a 16MP front shooter. The device is equipped with a 5,800mAh battery with 35W fast charging and offers 5G connectivity, Dual-SIM, WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, GPS, and USB 2.0. The color options include Sunrise Orange, Midnight Black, Emerald Green, and Titanium Silver.
