Honor has confirmed its next product, the Honor X60 series will be announced in China on October 16. The company has also released teasers giving us a glimpse of the design of these upcoming smartphones ahead of the launch. At least two versions are expected, with each supporting satellite communication. However, as usual, more features of the devices are bound to be revealed in leaks and teasers leading up to the launch. The latest Honor X60 news is for the base model, with a launch expected imminently to update its affordable line that last arrived in the shape of the China-only Honor X50 back in July 2023.
More About the Honor X60 Series
A Weibo post shared the design of the Honor X60 series by the company. The phones are going to have a circular rear camera module, with one of the devices looking a lot like the back behind cameras of that previous Honor X50. On two of the phones, there is a circular camera design encased in a round protective frame. The face of one device hints at a possible dual front camera system. A previous leak of the standard Honor X60 showed a single-hole punch cutout on top of the display, hinting that the Pro model could have dual selfie cams. Meanwhile, the device is also known to come with a curved display.
Honor also posts on Weibo that the X60 series will have satellite communication support. The White and Green colors and the orange colored smartphones are likely in the teaser poster. They will run on MagicOS 8.0 and are confirmed to have 108-megapixel main cameras. The series will launch in China on October 16 at 7:30 PM local time.
The standard Honor X60 is expected to feature a 6.8-inch full-HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and will likely be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7025 SoC. The phone is anticipated to support 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, with an additional 12GB of virtual RAM expansion. In addition to the confirmed 108-megapixel primary rear camera, the Honor X60 is rumored to include an 8-megapixel selfie camera. The device may be equipped with a 5,800mAh battery that supports 35W wired fast charging. Its dimensions are expected to be 8mm thick and weigh 189g.
