Honor unveiled its first two X30 Series phones with the X30i and the X30 Max and today we have got the remainder of the details of the lineup with the Vanilla X30 model and a new entry in the Play Series, the Honor Play 30 Plus.
Both the new devices offer midrange specs, 5G connectivity, and an aggressive pricing strategy. Let us take a look at the detailed specs of the smartphones:
Honor X30:
The Honor X30 is the superior device that comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset based on 6nm architecture and a resolution of 1080 x 2388 pixels. The device has a 6.8″ IPS LCD display with a refresh rate of 120Hz.
The Honor X30 has a 4,800mAh battery with 66W charging capability and it can charge all the way from 0 to 80% in under 30 minutes.
Coming to the camera specs of the Honor X30, you get a 48MP primary camera on the rear along with a 2MP macro sensor and a 2MP depth sensor as well.
The camera ring design looks very modern and is inspired by the Honor Magic 3 Series. There is also a tiny punch-hole cutout centered below the earpiece with a 16MP selfie shooter.
The device boots Honor’s Magic UI 5.0 on top of Android 11 OS and is available in four colors, black, silver, gold, and blue.
The RAM configurations range from 6GB to 12GB while storage comes in at 128GB or 256GB configurations.
The Honor X30 costs CNY 1,499 ($235 or 17,905 INR) for its baseline 6GB+128GB configuration and goes up to CNY 2,299 ($361 or 27,510 INR) for the 12GB+256GB variant.
Official sales in China begin on the 24th of December, Honor has not yet disclosed any details in terms of international availability at this point.
Honor Play 30 Plus:
The Honor Play 30 Plus features a 6.7″ LCD display with an HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate alongside MediaTek’s Dimensity 700 chip.
The device packs a mediocre camera, despite there being two cutouts, you get only a 13MP primary shooter and a 2MP secondary depth sensor. The device has a 5MP selfie shooter which is integrated into the waterdrop notch.
The Honor Play 30 Plus excels in the matter of battery capacity as it has a 5,000mAh battery. It supports 22.5W charging. The device runs on Magic UI 5.0 on top of Android 11 OS, similar to the Honor X30.
The Honor Play 30 starts at CNY 1,099 ($173 or 13,183 INR) and it is also available in black, silver, gold, and blue.
