Honor Tech, a new player in the Indian tech landscape, has been introduced. This fresh brand will be authorized to distribute Honor-branded smartphones within the Indian market. Initially established as a subsidiary of Huawei back in 2013, Honor made its way into India in 2014, focusing on affordable smartphone offerings. However, due to the impact of US sanctions on Huawei, it exited the Indian market in 2020.
Following its acquisition by Chinese firms, it continued its global presence while introducing sporadic fitness trackers and tablets in India. At present, Honor is gearing up for reentry into the Indian market, with plans to unveil its inaugural smartphone in September. The strategy for reestablishing the Honor brand in India is outlined here.
All About Honor Tech, Honor’s Comeback and Anticipated Launch
Former CEO of Realme India, Madhav Sheth, has unveiled a novel enterprise known as Honor Tech. This venture is a fully Indian joint endeavor and is aiming to infuse an investment of ₹1,000 crores by the conclusion of the year. The core objective of Honor Tech is to construct an expansive Honor brand ecosystem in India, with aspirations of securing a 4-5 percent market share by the culmination of 2024. The initial investment will be channeled into augmenting products, refining software, and expanding services, all geared towards achieving a projected revenue of ₹10,000 crores by 2024.
In collaboration with PSAV Global, based in Noida, Honor Tech, headquartered in Gurgaon, is planning to establish a robust local supply chain and generate approximately 4,000 job opportunities by the following year.
