Honor Magic V detailed specs and renders leak, will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip

Honor is all set to enter into the foldable segment with the upcoming Honor Magic V. The Honor Magic V is scheduled to launch on the 10th of January in China.

Prior to the launch, we have come across the specs of the Honor Magic V courtesy of MySmartPrice. Tipster Ishan Agarwal has stated that the Honor Magic V will be available in three color variants, Orange, White, and Black.

The upcoming device will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, it is a balanced device overall, let us delve into the specs of the device.

The Orange color variants of the device have a faux leather finish while the White and Black colors appear to have a glass back. The Black variant has a glossy finish, while the White color variant has a striped pattern on it.

The cover display on the upcoming Honor foldable will be curved on one side and it will feature a centered-punch-hole notch. On the rear, we see a triple camera setup with dual-tone LED flashes.

The Honor Magic V’s cover display measures a 6.45″ OLED panel with 2560 x 1080p resolution, 431ppi pixel density, and a refresh rate of 120Hz.

While the main display is a 7.9″ OLED panel with 2272 x 1984 pixel resolution, 381 PPI pixel density, and a 90Hz refresh rate.

We see the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip powering the Magic V, an octa-core chipset that is based on Samsung’s 4nm process. It has been paired with Adreno 730 GPU and 12GB RAM. The Honor Magic V will be available in two configurations, 12GB+256GB, and 12GB+512GB. It will run on Android 12OS, with MagicUI 6 on top.

The Honor Magic V will offer a triple camera setup with a 50MP primary sensor with an f/1.9 aperture and it will have a 50MP ultra-wide angle lens with an f/2.2 aperture.

There is also a 50MP spectrum enhanced camera with an f/2.0 aperture, for selfies, we see a 42MP sensor with an f/2.4 aperture.

The Honor Magic V will have a 4,750mAh battery with support for 66W fast charging, it measures 160.4 x 72.7 x 14.3mm when folded. The unfolded dimensions are 160.4 x 141.1mm when unfolded. It weighs 293g and features DTS audio-powered ultra speakers.
