All About the New Honor Magic 6 Series and Magic OS 8.0

According to the poster, the brand has scheduled a two-day launch event on January 10 and January 11 to introduce both the Magic OS 8.0 and the Magic 6 series. Reports have indicated that the Magic 6 lineup will likely encompass models such as the Magic 6, Magic 6 Pro, and Magic 6 Porsche Design.

Huawei stands alone among Chinese smartphone brands in providing satellite communication support for its devices. With the upcoming Magic 6 series from Honor, it is poised to become the second Chinese brand to offer two-way satellite communication.

Equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and running on the latest Magic OS 8.0 UI, the Magic 6 series is expected to feature prominently in the Honor lineup. While specific details have not been disclosed, the company is anticipated to release teasers in the coming days to shed light on the key features of the Magic 6 lineup and Magic OS 8.0.

While other brands like Oppo, Xiaomi, and Vivo are expected to integrate the 50-megapixel Sony LYT-900 one-inch camera sensor, the Magic 6 series might opt for the one-inch, 50-megapixel OmniVision OV50K primary camera. Charging capabilities are also anticipated to differ, with the Magic 6 and Magic 6 Pro potentially supporting 66W and 100W wired charging, respectively.

The Pro variant may additionally offer 50W wireless charging. Honor’s confirmed collaboration with the Porsche Design studio hints at the prospect of a premium variant within the Magic 6 series, possibly named Magic 6 Porsche Design, to complement its distinctive features.
