Honor introduced the Honor 90 5G and Honor 90 Pro 5G in China back in May of this year. While the standard model has already made its debut in the global market, it’s now preparing for its launch in India. Consequently, the smartphone’s specifications have become publicly available. Here’s an overview of the details pertaining to the Honor 90 5G, currently featured on its microsite on Amazon. However, it appears that the company has no intentions of releasing the Pro model outside of China.
Honor 90 5G Specifications and Expected Price
According to the official page, the Honor 90 5G will sport an AMOLED display that boasts curvature on all four sides. Thanks to its ultra-thin bezels, the device offers an impressive screen-to-body ratio. The screen itself supports a 1.5K resolution, delivers up to 1600 nits of brightness, and covers the DCI-P3 color space. Furthermore, it will be the first phone in India to incorporate 380Hz PWM dimming, a feature that reduces eye strain caused by flickering when viewing the screen in low-light conditions.
The Honor 90 5G will operate on Android 13, customized with MagicOS 7.1. The company has already confirmed that the device will come preloaded with Google apps and services. It seems that more details about the phone will be added to the landing page in the coming days.
The version of the Honor 90 5G available in other markets boasts a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution of 1,200 x 2,664 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, and an under-display fingerprint sensor. It is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, with configurations of up to 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The device houses a 5,000mAh battery with support for 66W fast charging.
For photography enthusiasts, the Honor 90 5G features a 50-megapixel front camera with a 100-degree field of view for selfies. On the back, it is equipped with a 200-megapixel primary camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with a 112-degree field of view, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. It comes in four color options, including Midnight Black, Emerald Green, Diamond Silver, and Peacock Blue, although it remains uncertain whether all these choices will be available in India. In terms of pricing, it is speculated to be in the vicinity of ₹35,000.
