Following the release of the Honor 90 series in May this year, Honor is actively preparing for the launch of its next iteration, the Honor 100 lineup. The upcoming Honor 100 series is expected to consist of three distinct devices: the Honor 100, the Honor 100 Pro, and the Honor 100 GT. Although an official launch date for the Honor 100 series has not been disclosed by the company, recent leaks suggest that this new lineup may be unveiled by the end of the current month. As we anticipate the launch, these potential Honor 100 series smartphones have successfully secured 3C certification in China.
The Upcoming Honor 100 Series
The Honor smartphones that have passed the 3C certification process bear the model numbers MAA-AN10 and MA-AN00. The 3C certification reveals that these prospective devices from the Honor 100 series will offer the convenience of 100W fast charging and support 5G connectivity. Beyond these noteworthy details regarding fast charging and 5G capabilities, the 3C certification does not divulge any further specifications or features.
In accordance with recent leaks, the Honor 100 series is expected to feature a high-resolution 1.5K display equipped with high-frequency dimming to ensure eye protection. The lineup could be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. Notably, the devices within the Honor 100 series might sport dual front-facing cameras, while at the rear, the handsets could be equipped with a circular camera module.
Presently, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has yet to announce the official launch date for the Honor 100 series, as mentioned earlier. However, given the indications of a potential launch at the end of this month and the 3C certification of these devices, it’s reasonable to expect Honor to reveal the official launch date for the Honor 100 series in the near future.
The forthcoming Honor 100 series will follow in the footsteps of the Honor 90 lineup. For reference, the Honor 90 series includes the Honor 90, Honor 90 Pro, and Honor 90 Lite smartphones. The Honor 90 and 90 Pro feature 6.7-inch displays with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The Honor 90 is powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC, while the Honor 90 Pro utilizes a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. These phones come with Android 13 pre-installed and boast a primary camera with 200MP resolution. Other notable features of these two phones include a 50MP front-facing camera, a 5,000mAh battery, and support for fast charging of up to 90W.
