Honor announced on Weibo that the new Honor 100 series of smartphones would make its China debut on November 23. According to the introduction, the Honor 100 phones would be “the full-scoring masterpiece,” “refreshing the technological aesthetic design” and “improving the product function experience.” “Glory 100 Full Score Photogenic” was the hashtag used to go along with the post.
Honor 100 and 100 Pro launch details
Honor often releases phones in the mid-range, but one phone—the Magic5 Pro and Magic V2—has been certified to support 100W of charging power, which is more than even Honor’s flagship models. It’s not shocking that there is another rumor that the Honor 100 Pro will use a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset—the Honor 90 Pro debuted with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset back in the summer.
After the Honor 90 lineup, there will be an Honor 100 series. The Honor 90 family of smartphones includes three models: the Honor 90, Honor 90 Pro, and Honor 90 Lite. The previous two have a 6.7-inch Full HD+ resolution display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. Whereas the Honor 90 Pro is equipped with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, the Honor 90 is powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC.
Out of the box, both of these phones run Android 13. Regarding photography, these smartphones have a 50MP front-facing camera and a 200MP main camera. The 5,000mAh battery in both smartphones can be charged at 90W rapid speed.
